It's considered the largest uprising of enslaved peoples in the United States, occurring just one year before Louisiana gained statehood. The Year of Rebellion programming continues with On to New Orleans: Louisiana's Heroic 1811 Slave Revolt featuring Leon A. Waters of Hidden History Tours.
